While I don't view photography as an "art", since anyone can take a picture and it takes much more talent to create a scene as opposed to taking a picture of one...

Don't be so hard on him, techincaly that IS photography, and some of it does have alot of artistic value. The dead bird, for example, is simply irony. Birds are seen as a symbol for life and freedom, and there it is, on the ground.. Motionless.. Dead.. See what I mean?

I'm pretty sure sharing my rather short, harmless opinions on photography weren't in any way "obtuse", and neither was I in any way "hijacking" your thread. The opinions were about photography, and I shared some photos of my own. Cool it.

Take those pictures, SOT. They are history. They are lessons. They are valuable. You don't have to publish them....yet, anyhow.

Take pictures of the other side of the madness: The benevolence, the charity, the assistance, the sorrow, the joy in the midst of chaos....those pictures have their place as well---maybe even moreso given the media's proclivity towards the violent, insane side.
